What to do in the Winter

Recently received this picture from Gannet Gil. Shows there's still great angling to be had in the winter.

When was the Pike caught? What bait did you use?

Caught mid-February.
Jigging with 3" WildEye Shad with in-line tube fly teaser above wire leader to act as a teaser & to hide wire.

interesting. very nice fish. Nice to know there fish that big in fresh water, so close to us, not to mention in the winter. Thanks for the info.
