| Hello, John here.. Im new to the SWE site.. Just found it & registered.. Here is a couple Pikies I made recently in AfterHours patterns.. Both are 2.7oz, 6"ers, thru-wired and epoxy coated.. Hope to see what everyone else is making out there..especially Pikies!. John~ |

| Hey Salty, gotta love those rattle can lures..Thats how I started out too..Still use 'em for basecoating for sure..Nice work.. Spike you can buy the mesh from most lure supply catalogs but its about $2 a square foot with 1/8" diam holes.. I buy mine from a fabric store, got like 9 sq.yards for a $1 a square--enough to last a lifetime!..haha.. But on my 6" pikies I use a larger mesh with 1/4" diam holes..I get it off packing from Clementine Tangerine boxes at the local grocery.. Yeah you could use onion bag mesh or similar too.. Oranges come in the bags too.. Check out Ur local grocery store for diff styles & types of mesh.. You'll find circular holes, octagon, triangular, all kinds of good stuff that works.. Heres a couple more, still on the paint sticks waiting for hooks.. |
