I have found a great deal an iwata eclipse for half price and am considering getting rid of my vast rattle can collection. Would be intereted if any one out there in fishland has experience with that type of gun and what type of compressor it needs. Would also be interested in anyones input of air brushes vs spray cans. I know these are very basic questions but I would appreciate any help thanks chuck

dp, I know that the Iwata line is very popular with taxidermists and going from rattle cans to airbrush will give you much more flexibility and be better for your health in the long run...you don't need a big compressor to do the job, get something that is fairly small and quiet...I have a Badger model 80-2 that you can get at most hobby stores or Michaels, use it every day for most of the day with no problems..

The Iwata Eclipse is a great airbrush. You can do a real lot with this brush. I looked for an airbrush around here and it was a poor selection, information and pricing. After looking around on the net I found airbrush depot it's in CA (where they do a lot of airbrushing, DUH) I found what I wanted at about half the price of anything comparable in this area. I have a small compressor that sits on a small tank about $150. I have been really impressed. Great buys and service at Airbrush-Depot.com, huge discounts on 1000’s of complete airbrush kits from all major brands
