I made this yesterday, field tested it this morning, was hoping to share a pic of it hanging out of a large mouth... maybe next trip...I got the idea from Danny Pichney's "Reverse Squid", his is lopped off, I left the end so that it would look more like a squid, cast like a missile in the stiff wind this morning, dances like crazy, I think attaching the line below the front end adds to the movement considerably...8" and 2 1/2 ounces...I'll add a dressed hook in the rear for "tentacles" as well...

it's weighted like a pencil but doesn't flop as much, does have a great darting action like a real squid and will throw some water when the rod tip is up, probably right in the middle of the two, not a chugger...I've had most of my success so far with a purple over gold spook when little else was working, some on bucktails as well...ready for bigger fish though

Kickin', thanks and Arden and Merch too...this is fun ....I have a bunch of turned wood bodies and I'm not equipped with all of the gear for through drilling etc. so I drilled out the spots that I needed and inserted swivels then drilled small holes through the sides and pinned them in with heavy wire, back filled the holes w/marine epoxy and sanded everything smooth and sealed, sounds like a lot but it was actually very easy, I have the versatility of placing everything where I want it, everything is very solid and sealed in...I'm making one similar right now which I've drilled a large hole in the back for the weight/swivel to see how it reacts with the weight placed differently....hope I don't end up a more plug productive plug maker than productive catcher of fish...
