Default Pt. Jude Wish List

I'd REALLY like to see something like the "Cobra" w/ some more wiggle. I like the industructability and castability of the tin and the eel-like length/profile of this lure. I wish we had more "sandy beach" structure around here so I could drag that lure across the bottom and make a "puff" of sand. I think it'd drive the stripers nuts.

Joe, you're really one of the most innovative guys out there (as evidenced by your recent visit to the shop). To your credit you are always looking to improve upon your already tried and true lures to give a little bit of an edge.

Keep up the good work.

Thumbs up

I had alot of success with the Cobra down here in Jersey, fishing the sandy bars along our coast during the sand-eel run.. The combination of a Pt.Jude Cobra and Red-Gill Teaser produced some really nice fish for me....

Hi Joe

Thanks guys There's an idea for what you mentioned Chris. My mold designer and I have discussed something along that line. It will be down the road though.I just might introduce those flashy critters I showed you the other day , this spring.I have to do a wee bit more testing though. Right now we need to get the lures I have into more tackle bags!
Steve ,I'm glad you like the Cobra.Using it with a teaser is a great idea too! Tins and teasers are a deadly combo.Habs, the needle fish King, was very fond of using tins and teasers at night.See you at the RISAA show in April Steve!~Joe

ps you all should come to the Salt Water Edge show on Feb 9th at the Viking Hotel in Newport,RI if at all possible. It will be a veritable who's who of surfcasters with great informative seminars!

I love the line you have out now. The Po-Jee and Butterfish are my favorites. The butterfish especially. I like it because it's a small very castable tin that can be worked very, very slowly, high in the water column in the shallows. Wobbles like crazy too. Even works at night. I'd love to see one even smaller, say in the 3/4 oz range if your taking recommendations. I don't see how you're having any trouble selling them. I always have two or three in my surf bag and I lose a lot! They're deadly on small SBFT when the peanuts show in August too.

Wish list, Wish list - Here's 2 things that I would love to see. One more size larger on the wobble heads. Maybe the same head as on the wobble tube but one solid piece. And, a jighead that is as indestructable as the wobble head. Joe makes such awesome products. I'm a notorious tackle destroyer, partly because i fish alot but mostly because I am forgetful, neglectful and downright lazy when it comes to keeping up on gear. I can honestly say that every pt. jude lure i have is in great shape even after being fished hard for multiple seasons.
