Default Lots of Bass in the Bay

Just a quick post to all of my peeps over the bridge. The bay has been very productive come on over. I have been catching fish every evening all on top water. The bass have been in the 18-30 inch range. The hottest plugs are gibbs 1oz pencil, white or sand eel pattern. I have caught fish primarily in the upper streches at the mouth of the Potowaumut river. Hit it!!!

Same here. Went out Thursday night, caught one 25" schoolie. Went through the bay yesterday, and landed 14 bass from 20" to 28". Best fishing day I have had to date, since I started fishing middle of last summer. Granted, only 2 keepers, barely 28", but was still so much fun to catch so many fish. Called my son, who only caught a 8 " trout when he was 10 years old, and he came out, and the fish damn fish he caught was in five minutes, and was a keeper. He is ruined. I have a new fisherman want to be on my hands.

Default Alright FrightNight!

Just want to say "attaboy" to Frightnight for sticking with it and finally being rewarded with a nice day on the water. I've really enjoyed his posts and am glad to hear the results of his perseverence. Hope this is just the beginning on a great year for him and the rest of the "Salty Forums" contributors.

Default Fished the "Storm"

Hey all,
Fished the Storm shad 4" white in the storm yesterday. I was in the upper bay again around Between Calf Pasture Point and Scalabrini. 4 fish total 3 dinks and one 34" bass. It was awesome for only about 1 hour of fishing it was not bad. Lots of birds about 2-3 hundred yards off shore moving down the beach towards Allen's harbour.

Default Bay Bass

I fished GANSETT BAY on 5-15, 5-16, and 5-17 wiyh good results. 20 bass with several from 8 to 15 pounds on sluggos , the new squid color as well as pink in 7 inch size were hot as was the REBEL jumping minnow. The best shore action was in Wickford Harbor.

Thanks Cchobot,
I appreciate the recognition. I had a great time, and hoping weather is good on Sunday. It's my birthday, and got the wife Ok, to fish all day and night!!! Oh course, the weather will screw me. And fishing stinks after a storm anyway, correct?
