catches of the weekend

I am curious to hear what everyone is catching these days. For me it was skate weekend, and flukes.

Somewhere around 15 bluefish, one being 17 lbs & 36inches on the scale on schoolie rod. 30 or so bass up to 20 #'s.

I went out Jamestown shore and Newport shore throwing a dancing minnow with no luck. Tried a large herring fly on a sinking line with same result. What am I doing wrong? How do I find the fish and what plugs/flies should I put on? Any help is much appreciated!

Saturday night, especially once that N wind perked up was very tough for many anglers.

Small blues and bass to 20 pounds for me Friday night, Upper Bay.

I was in upper bay yesterday with nothing. Went to lower bay, and caught 25 stripers, all just under keeper though, except for one 30", 10 pounder, and one blue. I did hook into two monsters but one finally got wrapped, and I could not get him off, and another straighten out my terminal swivel like a straight pin. I had the cheap swivel on an extra pole that I threw in for the heck of it, and of course, the big fish hits that one!!! I will be at SWE today for some good stuff. They seemed to like the Menhaden last night. My friend caught about 20 also, and one blue.

It was fluke weekend with me and my buds. about 5 or so, but i saw an awesome fluke caught in the newport shores about 30inches long and 24" wide it was nice. alot of blues, and skates. tonite should be great. some monsters were nailed in the middle bay of the island last night

LAst night i nailed a gorgeous 30inch blue at 25lbs. best blue in my book. what an amazing fight. i thought i had a sweet bass.
