Default Sand Eel Fly

Went out early this morning and was casting a herring pattern fly. Then I saw massive amounts of sand eels. I tied one on and first cast hooked up. Sand Eel epoxy definitely working.

This is going on over in the Sakonnet as well. I found a pod of milling stripers near Brown Pt. Saturday that I thought at first were blues but the jiggy proved otherwise. These fish would not go down when one was hooked and gave me about an hour of pretty consistent action. Same deal this morning over at Black Pt. Hear the fish were more spread out and tougher; you had to put the cast right in front of them when the were sipping. Plenty of fish taking just off the rocks as well.

Also, spent a little while Saturday at Sakonnet Pt. Mixed bag of bass and blues on the east side of the point hitting a bozo hair cotton candy.
