Default Fishing Low tide

Quick question has anyone had any luck fishing low tide around sunset. Mainly cause work does not allow for me to stay out late.

Tide height is often a function of the spot more then anything else.

I certainly prefer the water to be moving though. Low incoming or the last of the outgoing for example.

Default funny tide

ITs been hilarious you would think with high tide being at a beautiful time after dinner i would be having better luck with fishing. But i think i have caught more at low tide. Fort adams has been grand central station. usually things are well down there, but there is way to much boat traffic. anybody else having similar problems

Just back from week on BI ... best fishing was at low tide ... in the middle of the day!!! ... amazing couple of days of sight fishing to 30" stripers at high noon along the primary beaches

I would have to agree with BIRI. Low tide produced well for me also caught some nice stripers up to the 35' mark. I may have to take another trip out to BI before the seasons over. First time out there wont be the last.

my best fish this year have ALL come from dead low to +3 hours. I have learned that my new few spots are best fish catching the turn, initial incoming. Though my success fishing the end of the outgoing / beginning of incoming ( 3 hours -dead low) has not been so productive and usually end up with schoolies. Hope this helps. good luck

Default low tide

Low tide can be great at certain spots like the Pt. Jude Light house and Carpenter's bar at Matunuck. It takes time on the water to determine which tide is best at the spot you are fishing.
