Pete,
That has been my experience as well but the report I got was from a pretty reliable person who has a friend up there that is on the water pretty often and he said there were some SBFT sighted within the last couple of days. I would like a few more confirmed sightings myself before getting optimistic but it is encouraging just the same. The mahi were a definite plus and totally a surprise, I had heard rumors of them being sighted inshore recently but I had no thoughts of targeting them or seeing them for that matter. I don't think there are many of them around and I would not plan a trip just to look for them but the idea that you might run into some is cool.

What are the bones takin gfor lures? Metal? Topwater? FLy?

Or all of the above?

I am heading out in the kayak and plan on packing light.
