The one I caught jumped all over a weightless Zoom Super Fluke in Arkansas Shiner color. I use an Owner offset bass hook and rig it LMB style and toss it on a 8.5 ft. St. Croix Wild River rod w/Quantum Boca 40 spooled with 30 lb. Suffix braid and a 6-8 ft. fluoro leader. I tried the flyrod approach and they could not have been any more uninterested in the fly. now I did not have a chance to throw a crease fly at them and I think a crease fly would get them all fired up if given the chance. I rigged up the Super Fluke after talking with a Husband/Wife team that said they had "tons" of them on Saturday. I will leave it up to you what "tons" is supposed to mean???????

Default Ray's Fly

I've had decent success stripping a modified Ray's fly.

The one I got and a friend also caught seemed to prefer a top water presentation which would make me think that they would be receptive to a crease fly.
