That is a cloud of bait. I have been fishing the mornings when I get to the dock around 4:30AM this is what I see and then when I get back around noon the peanut bunker are as thick as I have ever seen. Last weekend on Saturday and Sunday as soon as the sun started coming up the birds started to mass the cormorants lined up in the middle of the pond probably 250-300 of them and as many gulls started to circle and you just knew it was going to light up as soon as that sun broke the horizon and it did. I have been hunting Albies for almost 2 and a half months and still geting them as of last weekend. I keep waiting for them to disapear and I keep catching them. Oh well when they do leave I will just switch over to bass, life is tough I plan on keeeping the boat in for another month!

I was planning a fishing trip late this evening in Newport. The weather report says, although warm, many showers over night with a breeze 20~30 knots. Has anyone had success in these conditions. Should I just skip this trip for another day? Or, get the rain gear ready. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks, FISHn

LOL.Man, I can stir the pot...... Anyway, that is not what I was trying to say, but I guess it does come across that way. Anyway....no one wants to here an explanation, so will not try. What you all said makes complete sense. I do love the guy driving all over the coast with his fish...LOl... that on was funny. In a nutshell, just meant, it is amazing that so many people as saying fishing is amazing, and everyone I have spoke to, has not caught a keeper in over a month? So, maybe or a few guys, the fishing is "amazing", but for most "NO" fish? ....does not make it amazing to me anyway.

Who is "most"? I never let one, or even two trips determine whether the fishing is good overall. And I certainly don't look at just myself as a barometer. On any night you can be off the fish, and then back on. I tend to look at the fishing over a week for multiple people. One bad night, or even two, for me doesn't make bad fishing. If others are catching I'm just not on the fish and I have to and will go find them. I find confidence to be a very important factor. If you go out with a negative attitude all the time it becomes almost a self-fulfilling prophecy. |

Man, maybe it is not all me,??/ Did you read what I said? I try to say things right, and am sure, i do it wrong most of the time, cuz ...for me. it's harder to spell it out, than to speak it. But, I understand what you are saying, but you are referring to just me... if you actually read what I said, I stated 10 people I know that have not caught anything. I am not jerked off over not catching,,,, big deal.... it happens, and I expect it to happen to me first, cuz I am new at this, and,,, not the end of the world,,,, what I said was besides me about 10 people I know, and 3 of them have fished between 20 and thirty years, and they too have caught nothing, and have put their gear away. Now... did you read that, or just what you wanted too? Hell, I/m in Florida for that last week, and have no idea whats happening there lately, and don't care. was just trying to understand how so many people were seeming to catch, and MANY PEOPLE I KNOW.... were skunked for over a month. Lets drop it, you are so concerned with this and starting to get upset with me by the tone of your last message.
