Default Little Compton Shore - Tuesday

With the weather forecast unusually correct two days in a row ( it said it was going to be breezy -and it was ) I took the beach approach over either the yak or the boat

I really wanted to do the yak - and explore some new water - but with 15 plus called for -discretion was the better plan - That and when you see the Portsmouth windmill spinning at 8:30 AM - you know the breeze is on.

Hit the beach in the same places - but it was much slower than yesterday -

Only picked up two shorts on the south beaches before the wind moved me to an east facing point.

Interesting that the fish i picked up on that sandy bottom were bright white /silver -( the almost reminded me of bonefish ) the fish that i picked up on the rocky/ darker areas were much darker / greener - Has anyone else noticed this.

Shifting back and forth - i was able to pick up a fish here and there- but nothing memorable

I did happen upon two guys tht were on the east point that seemingly stepped into a school of fish that were just happy as can be to take their storm shads - they probably landed 15 fish in 30 minutes - a fish a cast for them

I was standing 20 ft away- throwing topwater - and got only one in that entire time - my luck - picky fish - and i didn't have and storms with me- The guys there were nice enough to loan me some - but by the time i changed over - the school was gone - and it shut down totally

Saw no birds from Sakonnett east

With the rumors of big fish by boat - maybe i should have burned gas today - but it looked really lumpy out front

Tomorrow's weather forecast does not bode well for me

rrabina- What do you think about the forecast for the weekend- 5-7' seas at the mouth of the bay and that with a NE wind. Ron
