Amazing sights just off Weekapaug an Quany,Blue fin tuna busting bait, and crashing blues. 1/4 mile off the beach. I've read about it, heard about it, but today I was able to see it up close. Two fish were within 50 feet of the boat. One fish swam right under the bow. Saw the same up off the cape last Monday. These fish were well over 100lbs.

That's funny, I was out there from a little after 11 am till dusk and saw nothing of the sort. Conditions where favorable all day and sighting that type of activity would have been easy. Was it a short burst or prolonged activity? I don't doubt the report because I have witnesd it my self in the past but would like a few more details on the sighting. There where a lot of high flying birds and low fast flyers at times which looked like they where following something but nothing ever really happened. We did manage to boat a couple schollies but that was it for the day. Over all it was a pretty grim day out there. Thanks, E-Z MURF

We were in a pale yellow 21 Stieger center console, my jacket was brite orange. Heading from Watch Hill to Weakapaug around 11:00 to 12:00. The action was breif, but large enough to get our attention off the starboard. The gulls and gannets were sort of getting our attention when we saw the first splash, turned the boat in there direction when we saw busting fish, one right up out off the water, one swam right under the bow at about 5 feet down. I'm surprised they didnt hear us yell on shore. We followed the birds and a few more splashes back towards Watch as the whole thing sort of petered out coming in on the reef.
