 The year in review in photos While there are still guys out there catching a few fish, many of us have called it a season. Figured it was time to take a look back. Many species had banner years out there; the stripers in Narragansett Bay in May and June, bluefins around Cape Cod, and a simply ridiculous run of albies and bonito off Rhode Island. Hopefully everyone got out there and took advantage of what took place this year, it could be a benchmark for some time to come. Looking for the first schoolies:    Dan Powell on the beaches  Jake "ChiefLinesider"   Skishing for schoolies. Water temp = 48 degrees  Springtime fog  Uncle Geoff  Captain Crunch  "that's not good for anybody..."  JD out on the water in early May  Dan Smith    Bob with a nice striper  Earl with a fly pole striper  June begins...      Moving into July    Tuna Trip of a lifetime (videos are in our Pictures and Videos Forum)    Early August, hot water. Baby Mako 3 miles off Newport     Record numbers of bonito invade Rhode Island  Karen with one of these tasty fish    And now the albies.  Nobody had ever seen anything like it before in RI, they were literally everywhere   More (small?) bluefins    Getting colder, but the albies were still here   One of Rob's many 30's   Rob about to go for a flume ride  Max with a racer that should have been 40 pounds    Earl with one of the last bigger fish  Happy Holidays to all, and think spring!  |

| Thanks SWE Thanks for such a great season, and for all of the posting on this website. I was driving around to on ocean drive, and was amazed to see the birds boiling once again. It seems there is always something out there to catch, but it is to cold for my blood. Thanks again |

| Great job guys, the photos you take definitely make this the best report on the web. I always look forward to it. Having them set up in a year in review format makes you realize how short the season really is, schoolies-pogies-big fish-albies-big fish-done. Although I can't complain, I'm in the third year of the "Never Ending Season".
