Hit the beach this afternoon to see just how far I could throw a plug with this wind behind me.
Some of the eastern points were just too breezy to try - but the southerly points were absolutely fine
Early on - not much on top - but could pick them up using some storm shads -
Not as much fun as top water - but it kept me busy for a while
Birds were working about 1/4 mile off the beach - and slowly started to move towards one of the cove - when all of a sudden it just lit up
Every bird in the area was there - and every bass for miles seemed to have showed up.
( Note to self - when all hell breaks loose - relax - performance anxiety cost me one cast

)
Had non stop bass from about 28 - 36 inches all to myself for about 1/2 hr - when it tapered off - and they moved back off shore
As things quieted back down - i continued to walk the beach - and cast to the various rock outcroppings - picking up smaller - but fiesty bass every couple of casts -
Had multiple doubles - one on the plug - one on the teaser -throughout the time
Watched an absolutely beautiful moonrise - while still catching fish ( Peter G- trying to poke holes in your moon theory

) and called it quits about 6:30 with the birds still working off shore -
Looks like more wind for the weekend - going to be rocking and rolling out there - and I am heading to ACK to fish ??
