Default 2008 Fishing show

I did a web search for the dates of the fishing show, and dates that came up were April 4th through the 6th, which seamed much later than it was last year? Maybe I am wrong as usual, but after clicking of one of the vendors websites, they had it on there site as being at 2 shows at the convention center, bothe for the New England fishing show, and they had the April dates, but also had dates od 20, 21,22, in February? Does anyone know if, and why there are two shows? What are the dates? Any thing that clears this up? Just trying to arrange my weekends so I am around for the show?

Default Hey Fright

Hey Fright,

Good to see you on the forums, the SWE show is in Newport at the HOTEL VIKING on Saturday February 9th this year.

The RISAA show is at the Rhode Island convention center in providence April 4th - 6th (SWE will be at this show as well).

Big difference between these two shows.

Our show on Feb 9th is a much smaller affair but includes many industry types, seminars, fly tying demonstrations and the like.

The RISAA show up in providence features MANY exhibitors including Manufacturers, Tackle Shops, Lure makers, boat builders, etc. etc. etc.

Both great shows but very different. Hope to see you at both!

I know that, i was at both shows last year.....there was a vendor on the RISAA show website that said they were going to be at two shows at Convention center, one in April, and another in Feb, 20, 21, 22, I think? I will get the site for you.
Anyway, last year, was the show in Prov, that late in the year? I thought it was FEb. or March at the latest?

frankslivebait.com charter fishing, rods, reels, bait He is on the exhibitor list. Go to that site, and scroll down to view the appearances they will be at, and it has him at the Salt Water Fishing Show, at Convention Center, on Feb. 21,22,23,24th, and
April 4th, 5th, 6th, weekend too?

Default sorry bout that...

I misunderstood... I think those Feb dates were for the:

Springfield Sportsman's Show... I think it's around that time and it's listed right above the RISAA show but w/o dates (maybe a typo)

His RI Feb dates have to be a misprint. Just looked up the RI Convention Center schedule. The Rhode Island Spring Flower & Garden Show is there in Feb from the 21-24. Maybe he's selling Frank's Live Bait fertilzer in Feb!
