Default Dreaming

Just dreaming of the new season... and new boat...
Trading in my Parker 23 for an Albin 26 center console. New boat is sweet, I will miss my Parker very much. Much mojo in the parker over the ;ast 4 seasons. I am sure I will enjoy the new boat.

7 more weeks and the big girls will be heading our way.

I hope you all enjoy your season.
Tight lines always.
Bruce

I think you should keep the parker just as a backup to beat on the rocks

Those CapeCod/Albin 26's are awesome - if I was going center console that would be my #1 choice.

Got any pics of the new ride?

That's probably the center console that would be at the top of my list as well.

Inboard disel... oh baby...

You'll be able to get that thing in deeper in the rocks then you think. A friend of mine bought a 24' deep-V center a couple years ago and when I first started taking it in the rocks I was more then a little nervous since the boats I normally move around the rocks in didn't draft much and were more then a few feet smaller. The 24 is actually over 25 and drafts nearly 3 feet.

It's an adjustment but I'm right at home in the rocks now with the bigger boat.

Default must have been stoned

Sane minds prevailed. I am keeping my Parker 23, it is my perfect boat. The Albin would change my fishing style too much. Test drive on Albin revealed much. The boat is awesome, however, the engine is way too noisy. My shallow water night spots would be blown out by the diesel. $90,000 is a BIG price tag considering my 1st home was $119k in 1990.

I love my Parker

Nice avatar Jay.

The Albins are also at the top of my wish list followed by just a "few" others....

Out of curiosity, and only because I've never heard the CC26 in the water, what engine do you have on the Parker? Assuming a 4 stroke....

Either way, you would've upgraded to a sweet boat but the Parkers are sweet as well....PH or CC?

Default 7 weeks away still??

Is it really still seven weeks away from dipping my line in the water?? I've got a dock off the water to fish from, but I thought it was a little closer the 7 weeks!? Is that right?

7 weeks? 4 to 5 max. I am out there May 1st, but, last year caught my first keeper on May 10th.
First schoolie on April 25th or so.
