Man,, we went out with green crab off the boat, and neither of us caught a single tog.

Default Sorry to hear that.

I tried the breakwater by the Navy Base but didn't mark any fish either. Went back to the pier and did gangbusters. Tog this time of the year is a hunt, not a fish.

LOL funny,,, that is where we struck out at too, the break wall at the base...nothing...hahaha. Oh well, big stripers will be here soon now.. I can wait.

It was done to give the shore bait guys something to fish for in April.
Remember, these are pre-spawn, so release carefully and only keep what you need. the are VERY slow growing/maturing fish!

That's why I choose not to target them in the spring any more.
