Default They're here

It's official, the yellow eyed, toothed, stripless bass have arrived. I caught my first bluefish of the year today down on the South Shore. He was a scrappy little 3 lb specimen. Anyone else get one yet?

Wow, that sounds early for a blue in my limited experience. I wonder what that says about bait supplies....How warm was the water?

(I'm still working the trout here in CT, can't wait to hit the salt)

This is all good news. Good fish.

Arden hit the nail right on the head as well.

Default Shadow that sucks!

Hab's needles were awesome, but the squid popper was my personal favorite of all his plugs. I especially liked the smallest 5/8 oz one. It was just a fun, productive, little plug to use.

But I for one like blues. An 8 foot rod, 12 lb test, skitter pops, and 10 lb blues are all that are need for a great day on the water. When it's pitch black in a rolling surf and I reel in half a slug-go it's a different story.
