Default Anyone been out?

I hope to get out there tonight or tomorrow now that things calmed. I'll start out in Pt. Judith and work my way to Narragansett. Hope to check back in with something to report on this end. I know rabiner & frightnight have the east once they can get out.

Hey, don't count on me. I am a horrible fisherman at the moment, but I am sure Rabiner can tell you what's going on. He is a much, much better fisherman than me. If he does not catch anything in the bay, there is nothing there. I don't think he is in the bay much though, I think he is more Sakonnett, and Little Compton area. I mostly go from Brenton Point, up to Bristol and around. I like the calmer seas, and enjoy the fishing that way more. Has anyone heard of any bass around? Is it likely the big ones passed us by? Any suggestions on what I should do tonight when I go out. Chunking, or any specific type of lures? Down deep? I am an ametuer, so give me so input, and I will take some pics tonight of what ever I catch, even if they are small, and post them tomorrow, seeing this is most likely my last trip out in the boat. Wish me luck

Default ???????

Gentlemen (?)

Might I inquire what the heck is this attitiude all about?

Is this the new - let's jump on a guy giving data report?

I post em as I see them - I post the good the bad and the ugly

When it's good - I have no issue with saying it is good

And when bad - I have no issue with telling that it was bad

I have had the chance to fish alot this year =

Perhaps an opportunity to report more than others

And perhaps an opportunity to hook up a bit more

If the data is not appreciated - It's your choice not to read it

I won't cast aspersions on your reports

And I will not fall to a level of ad hominum inferences

Default It was a compliement

Rrabiner,
I think both posts were a compliment to your prowess with the pole and no slight to your manhood. We all wish we could fish like you, seriously. Any digs are purely out of jealousy.

Fish on!

Yes, and right again.... First, let me say to Rabiner, that Crazygoof was correct. What I said was completely sincere, and meant as a compliment. You have had great success this year, and obviously know what your doing. If I made it sound different than I intended I apoligize. Thanks for realizing the sincerity of my last post Crazygoof, but in his defense, I was a liitle rough on Rabiner earlier in the year because he was have great success, and I was the skunk king, and a bit jealous I guess, so for that RRabiner, I apoligize. I can understand why he would have trouble believeing that I meant what I was saying. To answer your question Crazy, YES, YES, YES....
I went out last night, probably for the last time, and had a great night. I caught 3 schoolie bass, a couple blues, one monster blue. I did hook up on a monster, which I believe was a bass by the way it played, and broke me off on structure, but then it finally happened. A glow surrounded my boat, and the sea parted, and the 75 day curse had been lifted!!!! You guessed it! Finally caught a keeper bass, and not just a keeper, but the biggest bass me and my fishing partner have ever caught, which is not saying much, because I just started fishing this year. I am sure it is not an impressive fish to all you veterans, but for an novice like me, it was great. Ok here are the stats...
I was 36" inches long, and weighted 16 pounds. I am going to send this response first and then try to attach the pictures in a second response, because the first time I tried to attach the pics, it said I exceeded file size? I tried to reduce them, but it did not work, and deleted my last response before I could post. So, let me thank all of you who have helped me this year, (Crazygoof, RRabiner, Nofish, NJSurfcaster, Pete, and a few more that I am sure I have missed, sorry if I missed anyone.) Could not have done it without all the help you all give on this forum. If the pictures do not come through, I will follow up with them after. Thansk again, and good fishing to you all.

Default fish pics

Here are the photos of my catch from last night. 36" and 16 pounds. caught on small rubber eel with that big weighted spoon on the front, near Castle Hill. That is how stupid I am, don't even know what the thing is called.
