Default new arrivals

Peter- Any word from the second beach area of new arrival stripers? With this crazy weather the full migration probably won't start till late May. Going to try for some hold overs today if the wind lays down alittle. Ron

We gave it a VERY honest effort Tuesday and Wednesday this past week at both beaches. Low water both times which isn't ideal, but usually that isn't an issue at 2nd. No fish, not even a bump.

There were four of us and everyone found leaks in their waders, lol. But that's part of the reason I go after schoolies. I treat it like the pre-season to work out any last gear issues before the big ones arrive...

Might try again this evening. Higher water, and pre-storm, maybe that will do the trick.

Tried for some holdovers at low tide this morning but no joy. Not alot of bird activity by the herring run either.
