I like the river because I never run into anybody this time of year.Both sides have been pretty productive but the Island side has been better for me.

fished this morning found little shrimp in tidal pool and peanut bunker? in mt hope bay,fish feeding on surface ,no fish landed though

On LI they are more commonly known as killies. Perhaps you have heard of them by that name, they are very common in the backbays, and I am sure that they make up at least some of the bass' diet throughout the season. They are also a killer bait for fluke

Default For what it is worth

Fished Saturday Night in South County...not much action at all. Frankly not many fisherman out either. Not sure if the fog/tides etc kept people away.

Made the drive around to most of the well known spots and saw very few cars.

Maybe everyone else knew something that I did not. The skunk was on...but still enjoyed several hours of hunting and casting around.
