I hooked up with a fish last night in Narragansett. I got all excited with the ammount of drag being taken. I land it and bend over to unhook it to find a 10 lb blue shaking its head at me instead of the decent bass I expected First saccrificial slug-go of the season. (The short version is yes the blues are here)

Good news was that he coughed up a 9" bunker, so they're arround also

We've had some random encounters in Npt too. Tough to target them though. This time of year they seem to only show up when you don't want them too.

With the large amount of pogies around I've yet to see any blues on them.Every school I've seen has been unmolested.Years past I always caught huge blues on the fringes of the schools.I nice big 3oz gold Kastmaster did the trick.I miss doing that.Blues by day, bass at night.
