Default Plugging for distance

Hello everyone,

Very recently, a young, but still, a wise and respected fishmaster, told me that a two ounce hab needle would outcast a three and a half ounce size one. Think about that !!! In an era where we think that bigger is always better, now has to rethink itself. I don't know about each one of you all, but to me, the farther the better. It doesn't always work that way though because you always want throw it longer. No one looks at someone throwing a hundred feet, but if you can get to three to four hundred feet and start hooking up, games on !!!

So now I'm wondering since that is the case, would that be the case with other lure producers? So if your still with me, does any one know if that could definetly be the case with the two and three eights sinking super strike poppers versus the three ounce sinking poppers? I have eight patterns in three ounce now and would hate to know that the smaller one goes farther. However, I'd still like to know what you've found with them as the three ounce does throw well for me.

Thanks all,
Nofish

you may want to try throwing into those late breaking waves along the trough line before heaving a lure 400 feet. chances are your luck will be better, especially during the dark hours.
