So Peter, I forgot to ask you more about this sufix braid you've been using as I haven't found out anything myself other than they have the performance, elite and titanium plus braids. Do you carry this? And if you don't, you could always sneak out an email?

spectron master braid in 50 or 60 lb test is my favorite by far. power pro is garbage IMO.. suffix is nice to cast but IMO its not going to hold up as well around barnacles and sharp edges of rocks as well as the master braid.. downsides to the master braid is that its thicker- I use a conventional reel, so thickness of line is of no issue to me. Take a nice sharp file and put it in a vice, then take all of the braids you use and take a couple of wraps around the file and pull- I think you will be suprised at the results. every line is different and forces you to decide what is more important to you- casting an extra 20 yards, price, or landing a nice fish where all of the odds are stacked agianst you

Nebe, I like the file test. I never heard of that before but I'll be heading downstairs to try that one out right now. You know I agree about power pro ( spectra) but I'm not sure about master braid (spectron) yet either. Any similarities of the two sharing or redefining either or's technology is too close of a coincidence that I'd ever consider putting my next hab on them. I get bummed on the line about every time I loose a good plug, never mind a great plug, a plug that I waited a long time for, and that I'd only seen hit the water twice. I'm going to wait until I hear back from Peter on the sufix line he's been using before I change out, but I am strongly thinking about trying sufix. I heard he's out fishing that striper aquarium in cape cod. We'll see what he says about it when he returns. You know we'll have to listen to a story first so maybe they'll even be a pic, or two in it. If it's held up well for him all year then I'll be trying some. You know this guys feet aren't sinking in sand where he's fishing.
