I have a pair of tweezers that have crimps on the ends of the tips the crimps are ribbed and will leave an impression on the glasss.. heres a picture of a pair that is almost exactly what i use-
Glassblowing Supplies - Diamond/Waffle Crimp M-CRIMP-DIA

the dorsal fin was crimped with another pair of tweezers that were pointed-
