I've been using my suit for about a month. Maybe 6 trips and I already have a small tear in the outer fabric. Do you guys find that you have to have your suits fixed/mended often? I'm wondering if I should just send it back to henderson for repairs? I doubt it would be warranty related. Probably just from pulling myself up on a rock and rubbing a barnicle or something.

Dive shop where I bought the suit did the repairs for me.

I'm starting to think about getting a farmer john to where with my skinz hurricane this fall. Do you guys do that at all and do you find it awkward when the dry top gets water in it? I don't plan on swimming more than 10-20 yards at a time.

Any help is appreciated.

The new Korkers boots with the interchangeable soles are ALL you could want for fishing in a wetsuit. Pretty much without question the benchmark for this application. Light and tough. We'll have the full run of them in the shop soon. Just size appropriately for the neoprene socks you use under them.

They'll probably also convince a lot of guys to switch to stockingfoot waders. I'll be sticking with my bootfoots though.

Pete, Looked up the boot on the Korker site. This boot was under the Trail section and didn't look like the stud/rubber sole was available for this one. Which sole are you wearing?

the studded rubber sole is an option! they work great! the sole just snaps out and you can snap in a mess of dif. soles (boat sole, felt, studded felt, sticky rubber and even golf spikes) they have a promotion going on now..when you buy the boots you can send in the trail soles for all but the studs for $6.95 shipping! sending mine in this week for the felt studs.

Hey good news. Sounds like you have been wearing the rubber studded soles with satisfaction. Thanks for the info Boogieman.

Robbie, have you used a swim fin at all?, seems like it might make life easier, like those smallish training fins..... or is it just another thing to get in the way?
