As many of you may know I'm pretty new to the whole Saltwater Fishing scene. I really consider this my first "REAL" year fishing saltwater and working at The Edge has been a huge help. Just hearing everyone talk and exchange ideas in the shop and on these forums has taught me so much.
Well the past few weeks Earl has been making the trek down to SoCo for the Albies and today I tagged along. BOY AM I GLAD I DID. It was INTENSE. The yozuri live bait minnow jig was EN FUEGO and I had my first shot at some fast movers. I'll never forget the first follow and then... split second hook up... and then... dropped Albie...
I really figured that would be my only real shot but sure enough just about the time we were going to leave... (In fact I was in the process of calling the shop)... I get a follow and... take... and I'm Tight!
Now here I am w/ the cell phone stuck to my ear and my first Albie screaming off

. Thankfully Earl rescued the phone and after 3 STRONG runs, multiple close calls w/ rocks & a lobster pot I'd caught my first Albie.
