Default Van Staal Conventional Please

Whats up no one can come up with a sealed conventional reel. Don't know about you guys but I really don't like spinning and would kill for a van staal like conventional reel. I have heard rumors but have not seen the goods, anyone from VS out there.

Tough to engineer, but man it would be nice to have a waterproof newell, huh?

I like spinning but would love a dunkable, waterproof conventional. I can only imagine the price and some think a zee baas is expensive.

Ya I have found out the not so waterproofness of a newell first hand. Mine is making noises no other reel has made before it.

Max,

I've owned about ten of them. You don't need to dunk them to get the sound effects. Those come with a little bit of time and abuse. That's why RL calls them coffee grinders. I'll gladly take yours off your hands for the right price

You need an Alvey.

No way I would get rid of that thing, it oozes mojo considering where it came from. Currently it won't fully go into gear everytime. Sometimes it makes this horrible grinding noise before enganging back into gear. Still works, thats what great about the thing.
