Question Sea Pup

HI all this is my first post on this sight. I have intrest in the two OZ sea pup
it looks great im little aprehensive they are pricy . and did not have much luck
with the excalibure salt water spook 7/8 oz.WHEN i retrive it it tends to go under, and not skip back and fourth on top of the water like it should. What would be your recomended retrive for this lure like a pencil popper or tip down with fast twitches ??? do find it to be favorite in the bag or soso.thanks in advance for reply:

i like the sea pup alot in calm to moderate conditions. I fish it with the tip up and with sharper, slower twitches than I would use with a pencil to get it to glide in as wide of a pattern as possible. it'll dive occasionally, but usually stays on top. yellow/white is great at dawn in the fall.

I love that plug. On many occasions I've pulled keepers out of a mess of schoolies on that plug. Like Clogston said......go for yellow.

Default Tattoo Sea Pup's Are The T**Ts

These plugs are great and really the only plug I have both clients use and I myself use when I get time to fun fish. Below are a few pictiure from the past season using Tattoo's Sea Pups in all white, blue/white, baby bluefish, and of course the almighty herring (blue/pink/white).
PS.. I still love my JM's too!

The sea pup if one of my favorite spooks. The seadog got me a 35" bluefish this year too.

Get a few of the pups over the winter you will be glad you did come springtime.

You mean there are other spooks besides Don's that catch ??

Picked-up one of Tattoo's swimmers last year, the "cotton candy" herring pattern as my nephew calls it. Verrrrrry nice and equally as productive .

Sounds good Shady.................will do!
