J-minnow it's up to each individual to do what is right I guess. If this didn't directly effect all wooden plug buyers - and it does, then we could all let it go but it effects everybody. Two scenerios arise. 1. You miss the small # available because people buy more than they will fish to sell or "collect" 2. You hit it good, there are lots in the shop, but you can only buy 2 because its a stand up shop and so they are forced to limit the number people can purchase to avoid this exact thing we are talking about. If you are a big fan of BM plugs and really would like to fish, say, his musso wad. You might want to buy 6 or 8 to fish because you know the next time they come around will be a long while and there really is no other similar plug out there, but you can't because they are limited. Just one guys opinion.

Jumpin Minnow,

Why should you make the most money in any of these transactions when the plug maker doesn'y make the money or the B&T shop. A break even model is not where you get a $25 plug and it cost you money. You should pay $25, that is break even.

If you have to ask a question about ethics on an internet forum, I think you know deep down what the right thing to do is. If everyone in this business was out to make a buck we would be buying $75 plugs. Lets not forget that.

swanny,

IMO, if you deal with reputable shops and you give them a very good amount of business you will find that the "difficult to get plugs" they manage to get you some. This covers 80% of the plugs.

Then there is the issue of the remaining 20% that are extremely rare like the BM Wadds or some of the hab's before his passing. Here the only thing that helps you is that you are a loyal customer to your B&T shop. Sometimes 2 plugs of something is much better than 0 of that plug. Sometimes you can manage to trade for these plugs, but very rare.

Merry Christmas,
Billy
