Default how was your fishing last night?

Pre-storm fishing gets people (and the fish?) excited.

Any notable catches last night?

I was told the bass had 8"-10" pogies trapped yesterday all day. Nothing over 6lbs. My buddy was livelining the bigger pogies and the fish were so small they could'nt even take the bait.

Before this storm hit, we were going to go out on Sunday with the boat one last time. Now, we are maybe planning on going out Wednesday night, after the dirty water settles down. Are we waisting our time? Should I wrap up the boat for the season?

ON PETE!!!!!!!!!!! HAVE A QUESTION? What is east of Newport? To me east of Newport is Middletown, and east of that is third beach and Sakonnet River?

Nothing for me on the east side- Little Compton area. Even ran u[ into the Bay looking for some but again no luck. Didn't see much bait in the areas I tried, only one small school of silversides. The tide turned and never really began to move- kinda figured there would be a storm surge from this blow.

Dozen or so schoolies in the evening. Pretty dead after dark.

(pete) Did you make it out last night? Any success? Did you hear of any large being landed?

Finally picked up on a pattern this week. Fished away from the day time twinkie blitzes and started picking some better fish in the dark and a few less yellowed eyed devils. Last night was the best fish of the week, 28 lbs on an eel.

I hate fishing big Danny's when there are twinkies around. They were clobbering it last night but it was too big for them so you would just get those bumps in the night. Put on the black gibbs stubby and it was a dink every cast.
