older van staal maintence

I have an older VS200N which was brought off someone. I dont believe I can send this back to VS to get maintenced, or can I and how do you go about doing that if your not the registered owner? Any info would be appreciated.

you deffiently can but some of the parts have changed and they be unable to replace them. They can deffinetly give her a spiff up but it may be expensive and there may be little they can actually do.

is there anything wrong with the reel at the moment?

Unless its a stolen reel no issue with being a second owner but be aware that you have no warrenty rights so repair price could be anything

the reel is mint right now. Was just curious after the season is over I would like to have it "freshened up".

depending on how old it is they may offer you a buy out since it cost so much to fix it most of the real old one the parts were hand made for insentience they take the ser#off the records books and you give the $$$$ for a new reel the price is determined buy them.
