Default Korker Question

Well, it's almost past time to replace the studs on my K-5000's. Any hints or tricks to getting the old ones out other than drilling or will the Korker tool do well enough to get the job done.

Thanks

The K-5000's are thread in studs. If they have not been maintained they are more than likely rusted in (basically fused in) and will more than likely snap when force is used to unscrew them. Give one or two a try in selected spots and see what happens. If this is the case, your choices at that point are to drill them out and replace with stainless screws or send them back for replacement which they do do more often than not.

Thanks, Dave - do you mean send them back to replace the studs at the factory - I got a pair of the 1K series I can use in the meanwhile if I do. I'm gonna try to remove a couple but Im sure those buggas are there to stay by now.

Thanks
