Default To the outward bound crew of SWE

Stay home!
Joking but damn was it dead..
The other angler and I fished 4p Sat to 6a sunday HARD; eels at every spot I could think of... great looking water, but in 26hrs on the 'chop we never saw one bird work or one baitfish flip...
very slow...
very cold
we were very tired...

Still a good trip and it could turn on like a switch but I didnt talk to anyone who did any damage out there...

That's not good news at all. Two tough reports in two days. But the moon has been bright with no cloud cover also and no bait makes it a long night. A little warm front coming by the end of the week should pick things up.

I heard rumor of sandeels pushed up on to one of the shorelines. I hope that's true...

Whoa, now that's a sight I'd like to see for myself. Not too far out but up close & personal. I think I'll do a daylight run around soon and stop by SWE while I'm out there of course. Must see that new stubby.

Yup, Bryan's right. I'm the other angler he fished with all night Sat-Sun. We fished multiple locations with eels very HARD, as he said, and not even one take, with very good water conditions. No bait & no fish. Did see a HUGE rat though at about 2AM.

Good luck out there guys.

Joe

The rat wouldn't take an eel?

Chief, I went down to SWE Wed. Morning and liked those stubbies. Heh, SWE, the fisherman's candy store. Yeah, I couldn't decide to get the yellow or the eel. So I picked the pair. Snagged a few wobblers & tins on the way out. I'll try those stubbies tonight and see how they fly.
