Default dredging in the Harbor of Refuge Channel

The dredging is a little concerning (but it could be good) but the dumping is definitely cause for concern. Maybe.

Dumping is not going to be a concern.
The geologist who did a lot of the work on site selection is pretty good.

I wouldn't worry to much about the dumping - one of my favorite deep water places to troll in CC Bay is where the canal dredging is dumped.

I think its mostly an issue in areas that have been polluted in the past and then the dredging stirs that stuff up again (like the PCB's in the Hudson River).

If you have any questions about the dumping let me know. I'll see what I can answer. We (I) did a bulk of the work on site selection and general mapping of the area...

As long as the dumping doesn't change the nature of a certain bar off Matunuck I'm not too worried about it.

Pete, Surfrider had the same concerns, we met with them and they seemed fine with it... no worries.. drops in the bucket....
