Holy Manati

While working in bristol harbor I saw a manati this is the strangest thing I have ever seen in RI waters. What have you seen?

The only Manati I know of is a city in Puerto Rico and seeing it on Bristol Harbor would indeed be the strangest thing.

Now if you meant you saw a Manatee then that would make a little more sense!

I heard there was a report of one up this way but I can't believe it was this close?! What was it like Rob? I hear they're HUGE.

Never heard of them this far north but I heard there were a lot of tropicals out there this year. The water must have been pretty warm or we had a good gulf currents.

Rob, if that sighting is recent, let DEM know. They were trying to figure out if it left the area. It was sighted about a month ago in Warwick...I think.

Strangest Thing - GW shark off Quonny in a 15' boat. Shark was bigger than boat and actually rolled up along side of us. I nearly #$@% myself. On the way back into the breachway, a guy was in the water fixing his motor. We told him he may want to get out.
