At least it doesn't hurt to fall in a wetsuit when you're already in the water.

Every time I get hurt I'm standing on hard rocks...

question for the wet-suiters: did you guys find that your catch rate increased with the wetsuit? it is obvious you can get out to more productive looking areas/explore more than you could in waders, but have you noticed dramatic changes in numbers/pounds? or is it more of a safety thing?

i ask because i am seriously considering getting a wetsuit this year after doing a lot of deep wading last season. aside from the fact that you seem to give yourself more options, it just looks like a lot of fun.

thanks for any feedback

Rob

If you're already deep wading, you might as well get a wetsuit. It's safer and more comfortable.

I don't directly connect getting deeper with catching more. I do feel I can fish where I want, when I want, more comfortably. So it's possible I'm catching more fish, but it would be tough to quantify. I KNOW several of my big fish last year were from a spot that I simply can't reach in waders. And it is fun...

I bumped up the old wetsuiting thread as well. Take a look at it if you haven't already.
