hi guys, lots of familiar names here from other sites. I have no spring strategy, I suck in May through June! I know those are big bass months, but my fishing usually picks up in August when the peanuts show up. This year I hope to fix this.

I'm farther North than most everyone posting here so I'm surprised that I typically start the 3rd week of April on the South Cape beaches and Bays with success. These are not holdovers either, sea lice, coloration etc... point towards traveling fish. Earliset keeper was second week in April 3 yrs ago. Two years ago, first cast third week...Last year was tough...

I have been fishing a warm water outflow, and plan on fishing it for at least another week or so before I move to the southshore inlets and bridges. I will be throwing bucktails, swimshads, bottles, and metal lips to immitate the bunker that should have arrived or that will be arriving very soon! Have fun and be safe this spring!

RIJ. Stay away from the bowling ball spots after the third week of next month and you'll do fine. May was better than June last year for 20lb+ fish. seems to be the trend that the fishing is better in the spring... 3.5 weeks until it is game on for me! slowly getting Psyched up! Plus it is almost never to early to use eels...
