Fishing Trip

I am going to Canada from Sept. 20th through the 24th. I am taking my boat to fish with a nephew in the Bay of Fundy and up the river there. This is just past Maine on the east cost barely into Canada. He believes there is still bass there during this time of the year. Does anyone know if there is bass there during that time? Is it still the season for them? Is that also spawning time? You are supposed to release during spawning? Is that the same here in Rhode Island? He also mentioned that they have Sturgeon there? I think I spelt that right. Does anyone have any knowledge of Sturgeon? What they are, how big, how to catch them? Pointers and techniques? Do blue fish exist up there also?
