I almost thought it was a micro burst. It just didn't feel like any of the other big gusts. Sustained and violent.

Took a tour around all 3 beaches. All 3 have some serious changes. The elevated showers and beach houses at 1st beach were finally put to work. The waves were making it to Easton's Pond. 1st hasn't seen action like that since at least Hurricane Bob, if I remember correctly. Johnny's ABC truly felt the wrath of the storm. The ocean was nipping at Flo's Clam Shack as well.

Ocean Drive was unimpressive, although the seawall closest to King's Beach is really destroyed now. Low tide looks like high tide. Some BIG rocks tossed around onto the roadways. One hunk of the seawall that is at least several hundred pounds had been moved 10 or so yards. Green Bridge was roughed up too.

All I can say is WOW!!!

Most impressive storm since Bob.Island Park wasn't lookin to good at 6am,Couldn't even see the seawall.Flo's had to have been flooded inside. And the Pits were filled up into the woods.

Probably the most bizarre thing about it was after yesterday's race I had a bin FULL of beer cans.....stayed right in place with not a can blown out of it.It kinda reminds me of the tornado thing where one house is wrecked and the neighbors is untouched.

took a trip out to the drive last nite around 7 pm and it was crazy then. Then went out this morning and saw the carnage along 1st beach and 2nd beach. The entire place was flooded out. That wind came up in a big way overnight.

There's 2 to 5 feet of sand missing in front of the parking lot as well.

I imagine it will return some, with time, but who knows.

What a mess up here! Lots of damage. The one thing I found most interesting to see, was the amount of trash that was washed ashore and blown on to land. It was like the ocean purging itself.
