Default Tattoo Darters

Hi Pete,

Which one those Tattoo's Darters will travel the farthest, the new two ounce or the three ounce?
Thanks

Not really sure, I haven't had a chance to throw the little one yet. I know Rob has thrown both, hopefully he'll spot this post.

They both throw well. I was surprised how good the 2 oz. cast. Almost as far as the 3 oz. (using a 11' Arra w/ 525 mag).

How are they compared to a beachmaster, to me nothing really "DARTS" as good as the ones Bobby makes.

Hi Adam,

Hey which one do you think is better in the wind? Can you estimate the distance between the two? Thanks

Tough to give real numbers on the distance, I fish at night, so I can only gauge it by the line / spool speed under my thumb.
In a head wind, I would say the 2 oz. lands within 10 or 15 yards of the 3 oz., maybe less. Both cast pretty well. I haven't spent much time with a 2 oz. beachmaster to compare. Sorry I couldn't give you better info.

i've been fishing these 2oz tattoo's darters for most of the fall. typically now, it is the first lure out of my bag and on more than one occasion has been the only lure that came out of my bag. it casts just as well and the 3oz darter by tattoo and holds just as good also. i was quite surprised and happy when i realized that.

one day last week we had surf conditions where landing a fish was difficult due to the swells. i put a s/s little neck swimmer (bottle) and fished that. it worked ok. i put the 2oz darter on and it held surprisingly well, better than i figured for this 2oz lure. the design just makes it hold in the surf. oh, and it catches pretty well too! i only use the 3oz darter now when the bait is bigger.
