| Hi All! Thanks in advance for any info exchange and just plain ole chit chat. Been to the store a couple of times and have had nothing less than exceptional service. When I use a prerigged teaser I picked up, the fly or dressed hook (not sure which is correct) tangles around the main lure leader, how do I avoid this? All knots are improved clinch knots with 30# line. I have heard something about dropper loops for the teasers, does anyone use these. Also, I think I may have heard somewhere about teasers behind the main lure, when would these be used??? Thanks lumo a.k.a. sapo |

| Although I don't use teasers very often, if I do I usually just tie the teaser line off of my swivel on my leader. It's surprisingly foul-resistant. Those who have more experience then me with teasers though seem biased towards the dropper loop. It looks to complicated to me though, I like simplicity and I know the above works. |

| I'm with Pete I use them off of my main line. Either like you I tie my leader with an improved cinch knot at the swivel with 3-4' going down as my main line and 7-12" as my teaser end. If I add it to my leader afterward same thing 7-12" tied on the swivel where my mainline is tied. I think the trick to keeping it from wrapping and fouling is not to have the teaser part too long, shorter is better. How long are you making them? Thought about using a dropper but never really found I needed to.

| 7 to 12" is a good length for your teasers. Too long will definetly foul your main lure. You do get some twists but that is mainly from how you store your teasers. If you keep them straight in your tackle box they'll be fine. The problem stems from keeping them individually packaged then the line memory is twisted from the start. Hope that helps you. |

| I've had good success w/ teasers especially when the bait is small and the fish are far out. During the day I use a squidzee, at night a needle or Danny. I fish braid. I too have had the wrap problem when tying to the swivel, no matter how heavy the mono. I tried running the teaser right thru a dropper loop but found the teaser was only a couple of inches from my main leader. A BLOWFISH will chop that and the $20 plug in an instant. Frank D had a suggestion and I took it to heart. Attach a 6 to 10 in." piece of stiff mono to the eye of the teaser; make a surgeons loop at the other end and do a loop to loop connection to the dropper loop. You can change them quickly. I carry @6 w/ me in small bags. No BLOWFISH BITE OFFS ON MY MAIN LINE IN 3 YRS. Anxious to hear other observations. bassbudda Quote:
