VS problem

Hi to all,
I´m was thinking about by the 250vslh (left handed) to lure some european seabass ( it's a kind of smaller cousin of stripper) using top water lures too, did it do well or got the same problem that todd report?
I've got to choose well cause I'm from Europe, and I'll certainly buy the VS from US, so it will be boring to send it back
