Any plans on having the new Stradics in the shop in the future?

When tax time rolls around next year I was thinking of getting one for my Rainshadow 1088 and retiring the 'ol Spheros 8000 to a back up.

Hopefully we'll see them soon. Potentially as early as this week.

I've had the 4000, 5000 and the 8000 on order for a few months. They've been slow to trickle into the country for some reason.

A little review.

I have the 8000 and I'm using 20lb Ande BackCountry mono.

I've fished it a lot so far and have to say this is an outstanding reel as far as smoothness and line handling goes.I've yet to encounter even a slight amount of line twist and the line lays perfectly even and level on the spool every single retrieve and that also translates to excellent casts.

Can't really comment on fishing handling as so far I've caught nothing bigger than around 20".I'll have to get to that review later.

Obviously its no VS and won't even get into dunkablity.It just ain't made for that.

The spare spool is a nice perk.

The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the biga$$ handle knob.I like the more traditional knob like on the Spheros.

I'll revisit this thread at the end of season for a real reel review!
