Default van stall and casting/ best model?

thinking of getting a vs next year and was wondering is there a a model that cast better, the smaller ones hold plenty of line for me, but I'm wondering if its worth getting a 250 because it cast better than a 200, or 200 over 150. I got a 11 foot gsb1321L lami rod with a penn6500, I'm rebuilding 2 penns a year whats a good match size wise for a penn 6500, 150?200. thanks ed

I got a vs200 on a 120 1 m and would have to say a 250 would balance out better on that rod so I would say you need to go with the 250 as well for your rod.

Most feel that the bigger spooled reels are the better casters, and I would agree. It's a marginal difference between a 200 and a 250 though. You'll be hard pressed to see a difference between the two when you're casting into a headwind.

I'd go with the 250, especially on that 11 footer.

I concur...1201M and similar balance great with a 250.. the 250 also balanced on an 11ft arra before I went bo jackson on it....
The 250 is larger than the 6500 but you wont regret it...

the length from seat to but can make a difference on the 200/250

i'm particular about length of reel reat

fish a 1201m/ paired with a 200 excellent balance

but my reel seat is @ 18 1/2" to the middle

take the rod to the shop....let pete throw on a 250 or 200 and you make the call yourself in your hands
