Quantum Hot Sauce

This is the recommended lube for the PTs but is it necessary?I've always used Superlube.The one thing I would hate is that if I were to send my Cabo back for
warranty service that Quantum might not honor the warranty if they found another lube in the reel.

If Hot sauce is a better lube I have no problem using it.Superlube is just way cheaper and its always worked for me.

Not sure really. I do know that Hot Sauce can eat seals in other reels. There was the infamous "bleeding Van Staals" incident. A few Van Staals came into the shop spitting up red Hot Sauce. Apparently someone in Tulsa thought it would be smart to fill the crankcase of the VS with Hot Sauce and it ate the rubber seals resulting in the reels leaking red fluid out all over the place.

I'd bet Superlube would be fine, but it might be worth looking into first. I don't think there's anything vulnerable inside a Cabo that Superlube could really hurt.
