Default Your "Go-To" Setup

What's your setup from start to finish? Why do you rig this way? Spare no details: Knots, line weight & brand, leader length, & connections.

Hi Chris,

Let's see if I can get this all down for you. I start off with just a size 34 roscoe coastlock 150# snap. Then I'll make my leader utilizing a size 4 130# spro power swivel and a size 34 150# snap. I always use yozuri disappearing pink flourocarbon 50 or 60# test line, reason is that pink is suppose to be the first color that is absorbed in the water column. I'll make the leader about 40" long because I'll usually use a 12" teaser up top and I don't want that too close to foul the lure. All knots to terminal tackle I use the palomar knot which to date has never failed me and also an albright knot for any line to line applications which also has not failed. I can't say that with the rest of them because I've been through the failed knot routine and it sucks. The allbright is been the best because it 's a small knot that doesn't hit the eyes on the way out shortening your distance. For line I now use the spiderline stealth 50# test as I've lost my share of stuff with power pro. Any line comparison after use under a scope will show you how the power pro does break down which I believe is attributed to what many fisherman will tell you are the mysterious line breaks. Well I hope this does it for you my friend. Oh yeah, I use a non slip knot on the business end of my teasers. Don't forget to use wire leaders when the bluefish are around also. Good luck now, I'll be looking for your picture with a big old cow soon.
