Not to mention the one beer buzz that took effect shortly after landing that beast on fly and we then set sail for home. That fish was sitting there about an hour or so and was pretty good once I cut it. A bit mushy in spots but overall in great shape for no ice and not too much direct sun. As far as the fighting belts go have you ever fought one of these fish? I mean I hate the damn belts and if you watch someone use one with light tackle spinning gear or fly it takes double the time to land one. We'll if your not using stand up gear with bucket or straps then you'll see how fast you get tired with your hands to far from your body and using more arms and forearms and not enough back and legs and not to mention how fast you fatigue when the rod is not in a leverage point below your waist. Tough fish for sure and you do need your whole body just to move them at times most times really on light tackle.

What they really need is an adult like diaper with a slit for the rod butt that is padded well for your inner thighs so the boys don't get too banged up. And also some room to s**t in it as well. If you saw first hand the filthy stuff we saw that day you would want to go in your pants for sure. I've been out many times and had a fair amount of time fishing for hardtails of diffrent types with paying clients and friends and that was without question the best display of SBFT surface feeding I've ever seen. Period! Great to be out there with Pete and Eric. To great guys and great anglers as well. Always fun for sure and tough to match that one again guys anytime soon.
PS Eric....No more 20lb leaders please.
GEEEEZ that part was funny.
